Our garments are produced in small amounts. As a small company, our resources are still limited, We use what is already produced while constantly researching the best sourcing. We currently buy our fabric in Europe.
Our first collection is made out of 100% cotton canvas. We bought the fabric from VSE Textiles Herning. Unfortunately we were not able to trace where the fabric came from. We know it's high quality in the way it feels and it holds he Oeko-Tex certificate.
Cotton canvas is very tight weaved fabric. There isn't a lot of space between the threads of the fabric. The tighter the weave, the more durable the canvas. This type of weaving results in a long lasting fabric. Canvas cotton is remarkably strong, resistant to pilling, easy to clean and rarely requires ironing. In its natural, untreated state, canvas cotton is even water resistant. The canvas we use is dyed with non-toxic solutions.
These fabrics have a medium - light weight which makes it perfect to wear all year round. It is breathable which makes it great for hot summer days and it feels comfortable and soft in the Autumn-winter. One of the best thing about it is: the more you wear it, the better it gets. With love, this fabric can last you decades.
Our zippers are supplied by YKK. They are known to produce the most durable zippers on the market. YKK has continuously set industry standards for quality, innovation, and sustainability in the production of zippers. The Natulon zipper is a nylon zipper made out of recycled materials, and that's our go to. YKK provides us with custom reversible and interchangeable zippers, which means the zipper's teeth will not be visible on the garment and the different pieces fit with each other.
We chose to use metal buttons because metal is the most durable material you can find in buttons, and it can be recycled infinitely. If it, by any chance, ends up in the trash it is easily sorted and recycled back into the market. QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY.
We create long lasting, quality garments that are functional and give you endles possibilities to style them.
When you are done wearing our designs, they return to us and we recycle them, either as a second hand or up-cycled item.
Our garments are made out of over 90% natural fibers, the rest are the zippers and buttons. When the time comes, at the end of their life, we will be ready with a process where our garments will go to a sorting center. There, the accessories will be removed, and the organic fiber returned to mother earth, but that is far ahead, since our clothes will have to last for a very long time, maybe with multiple owners loving them.
